The hotel is nicely renovated, it was built in the 60's. It's quite large, so it makes it difficult to navigate around. I could not find the entry to the restaurant for breakfast, when I did find it it was so busy there was no seats available.Later, when my partner and I went back to the restaurant, we sat in an area where we needed a reservation, for lunch! So then we were seated in another section and we're told it is $38/person for brunch buffet!! We decided to leave, and go elsewhere to eat. It seems like a complicated place. But perhaps the rooms are quite nice. I was only visiting for the morning, but I know I will not go back.
Excellent room. Well furnished and comfortable. Gas fireplace. I regret not taking photos because it was very nice. Spa facilities also excellent, I'd give out a 4 or of 5. It lacks variety of other spas and the quiet room wasn't very comfortable. Excellent restaurants. 5 of 5 for the food. Get the brunch. There are three restaurants and they are very good with a view of water while you eat. There's a forest nearby for hiking and cross country skiing. In a nutshell this place is worth staying one or two nights.
Estrel is an extraordinary resort I visited when my employer planned a summit and transported all of us from our headquarters in Montreal. We went in the Fall, so we saw all the colored leaves on the trees surrounding the lake. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The venue was impressively sized to accommodate our over 400 person team. The food was delicious and the eating area have you a beautiful view of the lake. I have minor complaints about the broken fastener used to lock the shower head into a heightened position in my room, or that the layout of the resort is somewhat confusing and sprawling. Still, overall it was a pleasure to stay here. I would love to come back.
Excellent place for a couple getaway. Lot of space to park your car. The staff is very professional and helpful. The place itself is beautiful and peaceful. You can enjoy a lot of activities both in the summer and in the winter. The steam bath was in renovation during our stay but even with that there aren't many baths, it's one of the only downsides. And kids are welcomed for those who were wondering.
This resort really bring put what relaxing is. There are so many things to do here and that includes fun, and relaxation. If youre bringing kids, there are kayaks, paddle boats, two pools, and four hot tubs. You can also go for a massage then have a wonderful dinner at the three restaurants that are located within the hotel. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Quebec, not only because the rooms are huge, also because the overall experience is very memorable.
